See Meetings page for more information. The calendar of meetings and events is posted on both the PTA website, and the WWES website.

How do I get involved?

Attend meetings when you can. Look at the list of committees and events on our Programs|Events page and plan to volunteer for things that look interesting or fun to you. We encourage volunteers to connect with the Chairperson for the event and talk about how you can get involved.

How do I chair a committee?

Let someone on the PTA board and/or the existing chairs know that you are interested in taking on a committee or being a bigger part of the planning. Fill out the Volunteer form here on the website. There are always opportunities to co-chair and often when chairs rotate out, it's helpful to have a willing participant to transition to.

How do I become a PTA Executive Officer?

Board members are typically chosen from the active membership at the end of the school year in preparation for the following school year. If you are interested in becoming a officer, please let a current officer (contact information listed below) know.

I have an idea for a new committee or event–how do I share it?

Reach out to the PTA President and let them know you have something exciting you'd like to bring to the PTA for consideration. Then attend the next meeting and present it during New Business.

How do I communicate with the PTA Executive Officers?

Each officer has an email address. Feel free to contact them via email as necessary.

President: president@waynewoodpta.org
Vice President: vp@waynewoodpta.org
Secretary: secretary@waynewoodpta.org
Treasurer: treasurer@waynewoodpta.org

There is also a PTA drop box in the main office where the teacher mailboxes are located.

Feel free to leave correspondence or other items in the box as necessary.

The board officers all take turns checking it.

How do I get information about the PTA budget?

The annual budget is decided on prior to the start of the school year. It's voted on and approved by active members at the first PTA meeting of the year. It's posted on the PTA website, along with the current years balance sheet.

How do I know the funds raised are being used in accordance with PTA by-laws and that the exchange of money is appropriate?

The budget and balance sheet are provided at each meeting, as well as posted on the website. The PTA has specific processes in place for how money is exchanged and reported. There is also an annual audit that takes place to ensure there are no questionable expenses or exchanges of funds. The PTA also files taxes annually.
