Purple up Waynewood!

Purple Up Waynewood!!

April is the Month of the Military Child, and on Wednesdays in April we will wear purple to show our support of military connected students. Each week in April, there will be a military related trivia question on the morning news. All students (not just military connected students) will have an opportunity to earn prizes for the correct answer. Our military club will celebrate our military connected students this month. Be sure to check out the Month of the Military Child display coming soon in the hallway near the library!

The Waynewood Ropers – Jump Rope Club
Tuesdays | 4:05 PM – 4:45 PM

Led by Erin Hutchins (Mom of Chloe Hutchins, 3rd Grade)

Max Enrollment: 25 kids
Meeting Dates: April 8, April 22, May 6, May 13, May 21
(No club on April 15, April 29, or May 20)

Open to Grades 3-6 (Exceptions may be made for skilled 2nd graders eager to join!)

Jump into action with The Waynewood Ropers! This high-energy club is perfect for kids who want to learn new jump rope tricks, play exciting games, and boost their confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is just getting started or already a jump rope pro, they’ll build coordination, master cool skills, and take on friendly challenges.

Each session includes warm-ups, skill-building activities, and freestyle fun—plus, we’ll be practicing Double Dutch!

Come join the fun and see how far you can jump!

Waynewood 2024-2035 Yearbook Update

Please order your copy of the Waynewood Yearbook for the 2024-25 school year!

The Waynewood Yearbook can be purchased directly from Lifetouch at ybpay.Lifetouch.com through April 18, 2025. The code for Waynewood is 14417525 or search for “Waynewood” on the Lifetouch ordering website. The cost for a yearbook is about $15. Also, Lifetouch offers packages for inserts and autograph pages.

Please note, yearbook sales close on April 18, 2025.

Before the Winter break, on the Waynewood News, the winning cover artists were announced. Each artist described the inspiration behind their original designs. The yearbook cover artwork is on display at Waynewood. Thank you to all the hardworking artists who entered.
