Drama by Alexandria Children’s Theatre

Act Out The Story (7-8yr.)

When: Thursdays 8:05-9:05 AM
Runs: 10/10-12/5 (8 Classes)
Cost: $220

This fun-filled class taught by Roberta Cullen is designed to help children develop their creativity and self-expression skills in a collaborative setting where every voice is heard. During the first weeks of the session we’ll use creative movement activities and play theatre games to boost confidence, plus the actors will listen to a different story and talk about themes and feelings within it. For the second part of the session, we’ll work on a short winter-type skit that will be performed for families at the final class in December.

Famous Holiday Scenes Come to Life (9-12 yr.)

When: Mondays 8:05-9:05am
Runs: 10/7-12/2 (8 Classes)
Cost: $220

Older students will learn how to bring a character to life through movement and vocal exercises in this class taught by Roberta Cullen. This class will help stretch students’ creative muscles and build self-expression skills each week as they memorize several scenes from famous holiday stories. Families will be invited to a presentation at the final class in December. Register for this class here. Please note: students who are crossing guards at school can also participate in this class.

Learn chess with Magnus Academy, the five time world champion’s academy! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments outside of club time, which may have an additional fee. All chess supplies provided. We welcome all grades and skill levels!
